Our Annual Bed Race is our biggest fundraiser every year!  You may be wondering, “what in the world is a Bed Race?”  In short, it is a jubilant day filled with creativity, competition, activities and games, chow, and charity.  If that doesn’t clear things up for you, here are a few specifics about the race portion of the day:

  • Prior to the event, teams will build or modify a twin size bed to be on wheels and then decorate the bed with a theme
  • At the event, teams will compete in a racing tournament where one team member rides on the bed with a helmet while the other four members push the bed as fast as they can
  • Teams will also compete in a creativity competition for bed decoration
  • Winning teams of the race and creativity competition will receive trophies and more importantly bragging rights!
  • During and after the race there will be various activities and games to play, food for purchase, silent auction items to bid on, and much more
  • Team members will receive free T-shirts and free food after the race is complete

You can participate in the Family Promise Annual Bed Race in three ways:
