BECOME A FRIEND OF FAMILY PROMISE

DONATIONS ARE VITAL

Family Promise operates on a small budget by using our limited resources in strategic ways.  We maximize the spending power of donated funds by collaborating with others throughout the community.  Instead of paying to staff a shelter around the clock, we partner with local faith communities and their volunteers, who host families overnight.  Instead of duplicating services, we connect guests with valuable resources offered through other non-profit and government agencies.  We focus our staff efforts on several hours of intensive case management per family each week.  This time is devoted to goal planning and accountability, financial literacy education, other life skills mentorship and to addressing basic needs.
Family Promise EBC hopes to expand our impact in helping the most vulnerable families in Bell County, but we need your help!  Areas we are looking to expand in 2016 include:

  • New homelessness prevention and financial literacy services for low-income families in Bell County.
  • Stronger aftercare services for our successful families, including a year of follow-up case management and access to helpful new opportunities.
